Pride and prejudice by Jane Austen

Published first published in 1813.

The version in the picture is from 2021 and published by Andrews McMeel Publishing.

This story is a classic.

I cannot recommend whether to watch the series/movie or read the book first, I would probably recommend doing it all no matter the sequence.

Elizabeth Bennet is the fmc in the story. She has her own opinions and is not afraid of speaking up, though she knows when and where, which differs from her mother.

Mr. Darcy is the mmc. He is a proud man, who has a bit to learn about courting women and even the interest in that. Though he is oddly attracted to the one who seems to have no interest in him, but at the same time enjoys teasing and annoying him; Elizabeth Bennet.

It is a fantastic and well-written story about love, defeat, family and especially siblings in all their glory or perhaps shame. Should we ask Lady Catherine de Burgh?

Jane Austen is one of the greatest writers that has ever lived, and Pride and prejudice is her most wonderful work, in my opinion.

From the book: “It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.”
